Though our green house cleaning services are fully customizable, here is a general overview of what we offer:

General House Clean: This is our most popular service for clients on a regular Cleaning Plan. We have clients who enjoy their General House Clean every week, every other week or once a month. When you sign up for a regular Cleaning Plan, we will often quote a slightly longer first appointment to ensure that every nook and cranny sparkles and maintenance becomes easier. From there, the General House Cleaning Plan kicks in. Remember, we charge by the hour, so if your home doesn’t need a deeper clean, you won’t be charged for one. (2 hour minimum)

Deep, Deep Clean: Yes, our general house clean is a fairly deep clean (especially compared to other companies we've used in the past). But every so often, most homes needs a real scrubbing--from corner to corner & under and over. If you are on a regular cleaning schedule with us, we recommend a deep, deep clean twice a year. Most of our clients like these right before the holidays and in the midst of Spring. In general, this clean takes twice as much time as our general house clean.

Move-out/Move-in Clean: This service assumes there is no furniture in the home and that all surfaces to be cleaned are accessible. It includes all the services of a deep house cleaning in addition to cleaning the inside of all cabinets, appliances and closets, including the dishwasher but not the oven, unless requested. Note: if you want us to clean the inside of the oven with our products we are happy to do so, but this can often take considerably more time, depending on the state of the oven, of course. (4 hour minimum)

Concierge Services: As the name suggests, these are additional services that can be customized to meet your individual needs. These include everything from stripping beds and washing and folding laundry to sweeping patios, organizing closets and pantries, and cleaning out refrigerators. Let us know what you have in mind by completing a Service Worksheet prior to scheduling your appointment, or if you are a regular client, at least 48 hours before your scheduled clean. We will confirm what we can do and give you a time estimate.


 ** Complimentary Donation and Recycling Service **
In an effort to support the reuse and recycling of consumer products--and generally make our client's lives a little easier--we will take your old clothes, toys and household products to various re-use centers and your old batteries, florescent light bulbs, and icky cleaners containing ammonia and bleach to the local Hazardous Waste Management Site. Just leave items you would like to donate and/or recycle in a *clearly labeled* bag near the front door and your cleaner will pick them up when s/he cleans your home. We take most donation items to Wellspring Family Services, who then distributes them free of charge to families who are in shelters, transitional housing or have been homeless within the last 6 months (Note: they also have a wishlist of new items in constant need and we are happy to take them any new items you would like to donate). Items that they don't take, we distribute to Goodwill.

Of course, the time it takes to clean a home depends on a number of factors including:
  • Size of the home
  • Specific surfaces
  • Number of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms etc.
  • Number of children and pets
  • Condition of the home and how often it is cleaned
  • Level of clutter
  • Type of décor (do we need to dust a lot of knick knacks?)
  • And most importantly, your cleaning wishes

 Specific Cleaning Checklist

Below you will find a list of all the standard services we provide in a general house cleaning, listed by room. You will likely find this list more comprehensive than many other cleaning companies. However, if you have a service you are interested in that is not listed below, just complete a Service Worksheet and we will do what we can to exceed your expectations!

EVERY ROOM
(Living room, Family room, Bedroom, Office, Laundry room, etc.)
  • Remove cobwebs
  • Dust (ceiling lights, fans, lamps, furniture, woodwork, shelves, accessories, etc. where accessible)
  • Wipe window sills
  • Clean mirrors
  • Clean doors and trim work
  • Clean and sanitize switch plates, door knobs & drawer pulls (all those heavy-hand-traffic areas!) 
  • Dust baseboards (where accessible)
  • Vacuum and/or mop as appropriate  

KITCHENS

  • Clean all cabinet exteriors and hardware
  • Clean all appliance exteriors
  • Clean exterior of stove hood/vent, where accessible
  • Clean counters and back splashes
  • Clean and scrub sinks and faucets
  • Wipe down accessible small appliances
  • Clean table and chairs
  • Vacuum and/or mop as appropriate    

BATHROOMS

  • Clean and scrub showers and bathtubs
  • Clean all cabinet exteriors
  • Clean and scrub counters and sinks
  • Clean and sanitize toilets
  • Clean mirrors
  • Clean and shine fixtures
  • Vacuum and/or mop as appropriate


After your Initial Clean

After your initial clean (and periodically after that), we will ask you to complete an on-line Feedback Form. This is an opportunity for you to let us know how we did. Were there areas where you didn’t need so much attention or other areas where you had wanted a little more? Let us know—we use this information to customize your future cleans as well as reward your cleaner with semi-annual merit bonuses for a job well done.

Communication is key, and it i
s our desire to develop a long-term relationship with you. We don't need to be your best friend, but let us know how we’re doing and what you need, and we’ll do our best to make sure you never have to think about cleaning again! (Maybe we WILL become your best friend?!)
